Our Vision

Our vision is for children to become life-long learners in a process of learning to love God, to love others and to love learning.
 

Approach

We provide hands-on fun and developmentally appropriate opportunities for creative self-expression and to accommodate the individual learning styles and needs of each child. Our learning activities follow and incorporate all domains of Ohio’s Early Learning and Development Standards. In addition, we teach children about God’s love through Bible stories, Bible verses and songs, and prayer. We recognize God has created each child to be a unique individual and that each child will progress at his/her own rate. Our goal is to prepare each child for success in school and life.

Our Church leadership wants to share an important update regarding next year's preschool program.  We are pausing the preschool for the 2026-2027 school year due to extensive building renovations that will impact more than 40,000 square feet of the facility.

Over the past several weeks, our building committee has worked closely with the construction company to explore every possible scenario.  Unfortunately, they affirmed that it is not possible to safely and consistently operate the preschool during this time.

Why Methodist Creative Preschool Must Pause:

• Asbestos mitigation with potential unexpected areas affected
• Interruptions to fire alarm and sprinkler systems
• Constantly changing entrance and exit pathways
• Periodic HVAC, electrical, and water shutdowns
• Construction traffic around the building, including dumpsters and vehicles
• Use of non-renovated rooms to store furniture and equipment

A Positive Note:

Pausing the program will allow work to proceed more efficiently and increases the likelihood that the building will be fully ready for the following school year.

A Message of Gratitude:

Our preschool staff has done an amazing job pouring love, wisdom, and guidance into our children.  Their creativity and care have made their classrooms some of the most welcoming space in the entire church building.  we are deeply grateful for their ministry and dedication.

Age Requirements

Students must be 3 or 4 years old by September 30 of the year of enrollment. Children must be completely toilet-trained in order to attend our preschool.
 

Licensing and Student/Teacher Ratios

We are licensed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services. Our 3 year old classes have up to 12 children with two adult staff members. Our 4 year old classes have up to 16 children with two adult staff members. Our ratio allows for individualized attention for each student.
 

Staff

Our dedicated staff have many years of teaching experience and they continue to take courses and attend workshops to comply with state requirements to enrich our program and to develop as professionals.  Staff is fully trained in CPR/First Aid, Communicable Disease, and Child Abuse/Neglect as required by the state of Ohio.
 

Registration

Registration begins each January for fall entry.  Registration dates will be published on our church website, in the weekly church announcements and on our social media.
