Walk to EMMAUS

What Is Emmaus?

The walk to Emmaus is an experience of Christian spiritual renewal and formation that begins with a three-day short course in Christianity. It is an opportunity to meet Jesus Christ in a new way as God’s grace and love is revealed to you through other believers.

CENTRAL OHIO EMMAUS INACTIVE DISCERNING SEASON

Announcement Read at the December 2025 Gathering

Currently, we have not scheduled any Walks or Gatherings in 2026 due to entering an Inactive Discerning Season. The INACTIVE SEASON is because the host church, Cornerstone Global Methodist Church, is entering into a large renovation project which is projected to begin in 2026.

The reasons for the DISCERNING SEASON are outlined in a document available for you to pick up after this evening’s Gathering. Please take the opportunity to read the document thoroughly. We will put this information on our website to let the whole community know, but please feel free to spread the word.

We would encourage you to support other Emmaus Communities during this season. We have provided a handout which includes 3 surrounding Emmaus Communities. You may also pick that up before you leave.

If you would like further information about the Discerning Season of Central Ohio Emmaus, we invite you to attend the COE OPEN Board Meeting scheduled for 6:00 on Tuesday January, 13, 2026 in Room 155 at Cornerstone Global Methodist Church. This will be an opportunity for you to be involved in the future of the Central Ohio Emmaus Community.

We encourage you to come to this meeting and hear about the future of COE whether it will stay at Cornerstone Church after the Inactive Season (due to construction) or move to another location.
