  • Rick johns

    rick grew up in michigan, oregon, and tennessee before landing at southern adventist university to study for the ministry. there he met his lovely wife jessica. he graduated in 1997 with his ba in theology from southern and later went to andrews university to undertake his masters in divinity. rick completed this degree in 2001. in 2003 he accepted the call to be the pastor of the courthouse road seventh-day adventist church in richmond, va where he served for 11 years. 


    currently rick is working on finishing his doctorate in ministry from the denver seminary in denver, colorado. rick and jessica have two daughters, grace (14) and audrey (10).  rick loves spending time with his “three women”, playing sports, watching football, running obstacle races, reading, and enjoying the arts.  One of the scriptures that rick seeks to live by is Jesus’ simple yet profound teaching, “every good tree bears good fruit. . .” matthew 7:17.

    debbie finds strength from acts 20:32, “i am now entrusting you to God and to His message that tells how kind He is. that message can help you grow and can give you the inheritance that is shared by all of God's holy people.” (gwt)

    her passion for service began almost 41 years ago when she and her husband, herbert, who met at seminar schloss bogenhofen in austria, went as student missionaries to liberia. They returned to vienna, austria, where their children, ilse and marcel were born.  


    when debbie and her family moved to the south pacific, she immersed herself in volunteer youth ministry in australia, papua new guinea and fiji spanning a total of 15 years. because she found this work so satisfying she completed a masters degree in youth ministry and a postgraduate diploma of education. she is especially excited about the potential to unleash your potential to serve!

  • ruben Ramos

    ruben was born in pennsylvania and raised in the northern virginia/maryland area.  he received his education from christian schools in the area and completed his degree in theology the universidad adventista del plata (argentina).  he later went on to receive a mdiv degree from andrews university. 


    while studying in argentina, ruben met silvana. they got married in 2010 and recently became parents. Their son, benjamin, has filled their home with joy and excitement. 


    a passion for God and service has led ruben in his journey.  he attributes this spiritual growth to his upbringing and the challenges we all go through in life. 


    ruben is challenged and inspired from the scripture in matthew 9:37-38, “the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
